1. Meeting began with a brief introduction of all present
2. Ted Walsh led us in a training of how to use the DES equipment to conduct volunteer monitoring of the river this summer. He stressed the importance of quality of data to be collected and the importance of following the proper protocol, especially the calibration of the equipment. We divided into three tables with the equipment and went through the process of each instrument. Next meeting we will meet with Cory Stephenson to plan out which sites and the timing of the testing for the Contoocook.
3. Michelle Hamm asked for someone from our committee to man the exhibit at the Monadnock Paper Mill Earth Day on Friday, 22nd April. Marian will help set up the exhibit and Rod Zwirner will man the exhibit.
4. Bob Henderson brought information about a course on Watershed Ecology taught by UNH and NH Fish and Game this summer to be held Monday to Friday, July 25-29 and August 1-5. Is there any one else on our committee besides Bob who would like to go?
